For families and medical practitioners irritated by fiddly sachets of medicine and lotion, an innovative UK healthcare packaging company has come up with the answer!
Lancaster based, Flexible Medical, is to launch a brand-new 'tube sachet' which will have a tube sealed within the sterile sachet to make administering the contents so much easier and far less messy.
Initially the clever concept, based on similar packaging within the food and drink industry, will be used for the application of topical sterile fluids.

It has already been adopted by a large medical device company for use in wound care, and further developments are in progress.
An adaption of the design will also allow for single dose medicines and oral cleansing liquids to be administered.
Flexible Medical packaging (or FMP) will show the innovation at several exhibitions this year including; 24th - 25th Feb 2010 = easyFairs Contract Pack 2010, Birmingham |
